HIP LABRUM MRI & CT
Â
There is more to the hip labrum than just Labral tears. Here is a Quick Look at a few Hip Labrum abnormalities from Labral tears, paralabral cysts and mucoid degeneration to Labral ossification.
HIP LABRUM OSSIFICATION
- Labral ossification is a degenerative process and is not common.
Â
Look for ossification along the expected location and shape of the labrum.
The ossification can be patchy like in this example.
In the late stage when its very dense it may be difficult to differentiate from an osteophyte but the shape is helpful.Â
