  • Achilles Tendonosis,
  • Retrocalcaneal Bursa,
  • Bone Marrow Oedema,
  • Tear,
  • Paratenonitis.

WHAT ARE THE FINDINGS?

  • Fluid present anterior to the Achilles tendon (PINK ARROW).
  • Increased intermediate signal and expansion Achilles tendon (GREEN ARROW).

 

WHAT'S THE Dx?

  • RETROCALCANEAL BURSITIS.
  • ACHILLES TENDONOSIS.

WHAT ARE THE FINDINGS?

  • Fluid present posterior to the Achilles tendon at the insertion (Pink arrow).

 

WHAT'S THE Dx?

RETRO ACHILLES BURSA.

  • The retro Achilles bursa lies between skin and Achilles tendon.
  • Its an adventitial bursa caused by chronic friction.
  • Normally don’t see it.
  • Uncommonly is enlarged.
